Sehteen is a food delivery service built for Syria - Arabic first, cash on delivery, and priced in the new Syrian pound. We work with restaurants and couriers in Daraa to get an order from the kitchen to your door.

Why we built it

Delivery apps were not written for here

Card-first apps assume a card. They assume Latin script and left-to-right layouts. They assume a courier can always break a note, and that dinner time is the same every month of the year. None of that is true in Daraa. Sehteen starts from what is true.

What we hold to

Arabic is the product

  • Arabic is the product

    Arabic is designed first and English is the translation. Every screen is rendered in both before it is called done.

  • Cash is a payment rail

    We treat the courier’s satchel with the seriousness a bank treats a ledger: ceilings, counted settlements, append-only records.

  • No invented numbers

    Analytics show what happened. Marketing says what ships. If a figure is not real, it is not on the screen.

  • Security you can read

    The API’s security posture is written up against the OWASP Top 10, gaps included.

What does Sehteen mean?
Sehteen (صحتين) is what Arabic speakers say to someone who is eating - close to "bon appétit" or "enjoy your meal".
Where is Sehteen available?
Sehteen is live in Daraa, in the south of Syria. The platform is built to add cities one at a time, each with its own service radius, fees and team.
Is Sehteen free to use?
Yes for customers: no subscription and no card. You pay for the food and the delivery fee shown before you order. Restaurants pay a commission on delivered orders, and couriers are paid per delivery.
Can I pay with a card?
Not yet. Every order is cash on delivery, and at checkout you say which note you will pay with so the courier brings the right change. Electronic payment is planned.
Is the app in Arabic?
Arabic is the primary language of every Sehteen product, with English available. Layouts, numerals and currency follow the language you choose.
